A Day of Solo Shopping and Family Bliss: Bali Day 4

Day 4 in Bali unfolded with a delightful mix of solo adventures and family bonding. My adorable husband took charge of the kids, revelling in boys’ time at the villa’s infinite pool, while I set out on a solo shopping spree at the renowned and vibrant Ubud market.

A special Breakfast Treat at Dwarka Palace Villa

Our morning at Dwarka Palace Villa began with a special treat—a thoughtfully organized breakfast basket delivered to our private pool. The basket, adorned with flowers, featured different compartments for holding glasses, bowls, and plates. This tasteful arrangement added a touch of luxury to our morning, allowing us to indulge in a tasty treat while immersed in the pool with kids.

Farewell to Dwarka Palace Villa

After a fun-filled morning, we bid a bittersweet farewell to Dwarka Palace Villa, a place that had felt like a second home. The journey then led us to Nusa Dua, a serene beach area offering a retreat from the local hustle and bustle.

Grand Mirage Resort & Thalasso Spa

Our accommodation at the Grand Mirage Resort and Spa promised a perfect blend of relaxation and activities, specially tailored for both kids and adults. The kids’ delight knew no bounds as they discovered a separate room within our suite featuring bunk beds and their own bathroom. This not only brought them joy but also granted us the privacy we craved in the romantic Bali.

The resort’s charm extended to various activities, with the kids’ play area equipped with snooker, boxing, rocking horses, and a cosy video gaming zone. Five swimming pools, including a special mini water park, provided endless aquatic enjoyment for the whole family.

The best part of the day was, an enchanting evening spent with popcorn, an open garden movie for kids on the bean bags, and the backdrop of the beach. While the kids enjoyed “Alice in Wonderland,” we explored the resort and relaxed on hammocks.

Dinner at New Delhi Restaurant

In Nusa Dua also, we found a famous Indian restaurant, New Delhi, very close to our resort. They had an authentic taste of Indian Punjabi food.

Tips of the day:
  • Before booking a hotel or resort always check, what activities they have and where is the location.
  • Grand Mirage was a superb resort. But the one thing that we did not like about the resort was its private beach. It was not clean and the water tides did not reach the beach, making it unappealing for us to dive in.

The blend of solo exploration, family togetherness, and the morning’s luxurious breakfast made Day 4 a perfect chapter in our Bali adventure. On top of it, moving from the hustle and bustle of the Ubud area to the peaceful beachside Nusa Dua was a different experience altogether.

Stay tuned for more fun tales in the Nusa Dua part of Bali!

Sometimes it feels like pouring my heart out. What better than writing blogs. My son started writing blogs. I too found it interesting, and followed the suit. Hope you enjoy reading my blogs.
